We have developed a solution for our clients so that they can get peace of mind when it comes to their data. Even though most people know the importance of backups, they don't have an action plan in place should the event of data loss occur. We have considered these factors and have come up with a solution that is easy to maintain.

There has always been a flaw with backups (when actually done in the first place) - the fact that the backups,  where normally stored on-site. Should something happen on the business premises, like theft or even worse a fire, these backups are at risk of being lost together with the active data. The saying goes: "Don't keep all your eggs in one basket" and we have taken that wisdom to heart and have put it to good in use.

The Backup Server we implement takes charge of the mammoth task by contacting, in turn, each PC, notebook and Server on the network. It then determines what the new file changes were and then only pull those files from that system. This happens over a secure connection and data is not compromised.

If a notebook is off site, the systems will keep scanning the network so that as soon as a notebook connects to the local network, it starts the backup process. E-mail's gets sent to the users to inform them if a backup is overdue. A status page also gives you a summary to see which systems was backed up last and any failures that may have occurred.

The Backup Server then creates it's own backups to external hard drives which then gets stored off site and swapped weekly.
