We do prefer to make use of Linux servers just because we believe that these server systems are more stable than the competitive brands. Our flavour of choice is Mandriva Linux.

We have recognised that most business infrastructure revolve around their server and have seen that when the server is down, how it can disrupt  the flow of the business. Other advantages include not having to pay yearly fees and are not limited by access licenses.

We also have leasing options available as to bring total cost of ownership down. Servers will be custom build to suite our client's needs and by installing only the needed modules, costs reduced drastically.

File Sharing:

Windows file sharing to access and share information between users.

E-mail:

This module will periodically download everybody’s e-mails to the server from where the users can download and check their e-mail as many times as they want in a day. Since these connections are local connections to the server only, there will be a saving of bandwidth. All e-mails sent to another user on the same network will stay on the network and will not use any bandwidth.

Proxy server:

By setting up a proxy service; as the same sites are being visited by different users, the server recycles already downloaded content and thus providing a faster Internet experience with the added advantage of saving bandwidth.

Web usage reporting:

One is able to track who is responsible for using how much Internet bandwidth.

Firewall:

This will help you to protecting your network from attacks coming from the World Wide Web.

VPN Solution:

We can implement a secure connection to your network from anywhere - to be able to work remotely (over for example a 3G link) with files that are on the server or to print a document from anywhere to one of the office printers. For this you will need a VPN (virtual private network) setup. This will give you access to the network resources from wherever you are.

MySQL Database:

Should you be on need of a MySQL database to run your applications on, we can assist you with that.
